Overview:

This guide will help you Block/Unblock IPs and restrict access.

IP address blocking prevents connections between a server or a website and certain IPs. IP address blocking effectively bans undesired connections from hosts using effective addresses to a Website, mail server, or the Internet server.

Webuzo effectively allows you to Block/Unblock IP addresses from its end-user panel.

Block IPs:

1.  Click on IP Block from the Security Section.

2.  Add the IPs you want to block and hit Add.

A success message will pop up once the IPs are added to the block list.

Format types:

  • CIDR Block (e.g.: 10.5.3.3/32)
  • IP Range (e.g.: 10.5.3.3-10.5.3.40)
  • Single IP (e.g.: 10.5.3.3)
  • Domain name

Unblocking an IP:

1. Click on the Delete icon inline to the IPs you want to unblock.

2. You will be prompted to confirm your deletion.

3. Hit YES. That's it; you have successfully unblocked the IP.

Conclusion:

Managing IP access is a simple but powerful way to secure your server and control traffic. By using Blacklist IPs, you can instantly block unwanted or malicious connections, while Whitelisting IPs ensures trusted sources always have access.

Webuzo makes this process straightforward from the Enduser Panel, allowing you to take quick action without deep technical overhead. Keep your IP lists updated regularly; that’s the difference between a reactive setup and a controlled, secure environment.
