Password Protected Directory is a very important feature in limiting websites' specific areas from public access.
With the Webuzo control panel, you can easily password-protect a directory or file.
Let’s see the steps for the same.
Step 1: Log in to the Webuzo end-users panel.
Step 2: Navigate to the “Security” section and click on “Directory Privacy.”
Step 3: Next, click on the “Add Password Protected” this will open a pop-up box.
Step 4: In this screen, you will have to specify the below fields.
Path to directory: Specify the path to the user directory to password protect.
Name the protected directory: Name of the directory you want to password-protect.
Username: Add the user name using which you can access the directory.
Password: Enter/Generate a strong password.
Click on the “Save” button to save the required changes.
Next time you try to access the page/directory you password protect, it will ask for the username and password.
