Cannot access website hosted on Plesk: the server responded with a status of 403 (ModSecurity Action)

If you have hosted your website on Plesk, you may receive the below error. 

HTTP Error 403.0 - ModSecurity Action You do not have permission to view this directory or page.

or

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (ModSecurity Action).

Resolution

At first, we will find the rule that is blocking the website. You can find it from the Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application (). Once you get the rule ID, please refer to the following steps.

1. Log in to the Plesk Panel.

2. Go to the path Tools & Settings > Web Application Firewall (ModSecurity) > General.

3. Enter the rule ID in the Security rule IDs box and click the OK button. In case you don't want to use the web application firewall, you can simply tick off the radio button and click the OK button.
