What are the POP Configuration Details to setup an Email Client?

To configure an email client with POP, you can use following configuration settings according to your service with AccuWebHosting.

Windows Shared Hosting Customers

Without SSL With SSL
  • Incoming Server: mail.domain.com
  • Outgoing Server: mail.domain.com
  • Username: Full email address
  • Password: Email account password
  • Incoming Port: POP 110
  • Outgoing Mail server (SMTP) Port: 25 or 587
  • SSL: NO
  • SMTP Authentication Required
  • Incoming Server: mail.domain.com
  • Outgoing Server: mail.domain.com
  • Username: Full email address
  • Password: Email account password
  • Incoming Port: POP 995
  • Outgoing Mail server (SMTP) Port: 465
  • SSL: YES
  • SMTP Authentication Required
  • Accept certificate mismatch alert**

 

**NOTE: While configuring an email client over SSL/TLS, you may receive certificate mismatch error/alert. An error could be different depending on the email client you use. You will have to accept this error and proceed further to configure an email client.

Linux Shared Hosting Customers

Without SSL With SSL
  • Incoming Server: mail.domain.com
