How to install SmarterStats in Windows VPS?

SmarterStats is a complete Web log analytics tool that provides relevant, accurate, and detailed statistics for one or more websites across a distributed network. SmarterStats provides information in a graphical and easy-to-read format.

To install SmarterStats in your VPS, kindly go through following steps:

1. Browse below mentioned URL from VPS:
   http://smartertools.com/smarterstats/web-analytics-seo-software-download.aspx
   
   
2. Click on Primary link shown in front of latest SmarterStats version (i.e. 8.x (8.4.5017)).
   
   
   
   
3. Save SmarterStats8_setup.exe file and run the setup.
   
   
   
   
4. Click on Next and proceed with installation.
   
   
5. After installation it will open below mentioned URL:
   http://localhost:9999/GettingStarted.htm
   
   Get Windows VPS
   
   
   
6. Click on Begin Setup Button.
   
   
   
   
7. Enter Key, provided via registered email address.
   
   
8. Reset the password.
   
   
   
   
9. Next, window will ask for SmarterLogs Path and Time Zone. Set it and proceed by pressing Next.
   
   
   
   
10. Next screen will show the SMTP settings, this SMTP settings are used to send email reports and administrator notifications. Fill the necessary details and press next.
    
    
    
    
11. Finally, SmarterStats installed and you will see the below mentioned screen:
    
    
    
    

Note: SmarterStats works on port 9999. Kindly allow it in your VPS Firewall. If it is blocked in the VPS Firewall, SmarterStats will not work outside the VPS.
