At AccuWeb Hosting, we understand the importance of protecting confidential information such as passwords, login credentials, API keys, and other sensitive data.
To help keep your information secure, we have introduced the Sensitive Data feature in the Client Area. Any information submitted through this feature is encrypted and stored securely, allowing you to share confidential details with our support team without including them in the regular ticket conversation.
Important: Always use the Sensitive Data section when sharing passwords, login credentials, API keys, or any other confidential information. Do not include sensitive information in the ticket message itself.
How to Share Sensitive Information?
Before following these steps, create a support ticket by referring to our guide: How to Open a Support Ticket from the Client Area.
Step 1: Open or Create a Support Ticket
Log in to your Client Area either:
- Create a new support ticket, or
- Open an existing support ticket where you need to share confidential information.
Step 2: Use the Sensitive Data Section
While creating a new ticket (or after opening an existing ticket), you will see the following message:
"Please do not include passwords or login credentials here. Use the Sensitive Data tab to securely send confidential information."
Click the Sensitive Data tab to securely submit your confidential information, such as login credentials, passwords, API keys, or other sensitive details required for troubleshooting.
Note: Only provide the information that is necessary for our support team to assist you.
After submitting the sensitive information, you can view, edit, or remove it for that support ticket at any time.
Managing Sensitive Information
Once the ticket has been submitted, you can return to the Sensitive Data section at any time to manage the information you have shared.
You can:
- View the sensitive information you submitted.
- Edit the existing information if it changes.
- Remove the information when it is no longer required.
