FTP or File Transfer Protocol is a protocol to transfer files between servers and clients. If you use the Secure FTP, it will transfer your data using either TLS (Transport Layer Security) or SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. SSL/TLS transfers your data in an encrypted format. If you have purchased a shared hosting service from Accuwebhosting and want to transfer files using secure FTP, this tutorial is for you.

In Windows and Linux Shared Hosting services, we don't offer SFTP, but you can use FTPS with Require Explicit FTP over the TLS option.
