It is always important to test your website on a new web host before you change the Nameservers or DNS. This will allow you to check the site functionality at the new web host.
If you have purchased a shared hosting service at AccuWeb Hosting, you can test your website with a Temporary URL before you switch the DNS record. Same thing you can do with VPS Hosting as well. You can contact our support team at [email protected] from your registered email account to generate a temporary URL.
Alternative of temporary URL :
You can set a host file within your local computer system to redirect your website to a new web host IP Address. In this case, you will need to get the IP Address of your new web host server. Once you set the IP Address and website name in your local system host's file, it will create a proxy connection, and you will be able to view your website at the new host in the browser.
As we know, DNS Propagation may take time while switching the DNS. You can add the entry of that IP Address in your host file. This will immediately load your website on your local system, and you will be able to test your website.
Following is an example of how you need to set the entry of your website in the host file.
- SERVER_IP_ADDRESS yourwebsitename.com.
- SERVER_IP_ADDRESS www.yourwebsitename.com.
