Following are the steps to test ping alerts from various Windows Based Systems.

Windows 7

  1. Go to Start.

  2. In Search Box, type CMD and click on it. It will open Command Prompt.

  3. In Command Prompt, type "Ping Server Hostname/IP Address". If you are looking to check the ping report of Google then type ping google.com

Windows 8

  1. Press the Windows Button on Keyboard and type CMD and press Enter. It will open Command Prompt.

  2. In Command Prompt, type "Ping Server Hostname/IP Address". If you are looking to check the ping report of Google, then type ping google.com

Windows 10

  1. Go to Start.

  2. In Search Box, type cmd and click on it. It will open Command Prompt.
