How to Allow Ping/ ICMP Echo Request in Windows Firewall?

The Ping or ICMP Echo Request is a widely used network diagnostic tool utilized to ascertain the accessibility of a given host. It functions by transmitting an ICMP Echo message to a remote computer and awaiting an ICMP Echo Reply message in return.

Ordinarily, Windows Firewall imposes limitations on receiving incoming ICMP Echo messages as a precaution against potential ping attacks. Nevertheless, follow the steps outlined below if you wish to allow incoming ICMP Echo messages.
