Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) is a convenient way to access your Windows VPS from anywhere, allowing you to manage files, applications, and system settings.

By default, most Windows Server editions allow two simultaneous RDP connections for administrative purposes, which is usually enough for basic server management.

If you require more users to connect at the same time, you need to enable Remote Desktop Services (RDS) and purchase the necessary Client Access Licenses (CALs).

The VPS’s hardware resources, such as CPU and RAM, directly affect how many users can connect smoothly without performance issues.

Note:

By default, your Windows VPS allows two people to connect via RDP at the same time. If you need more than that, you can upgrade by getting a device-based Client Access License (CAL). This upgrade adds five extra concurrent connections for $40 per month and is available for VPS servers hosted in our Denver location.
