Setting rDNS (Reverse DNS / PTR Record) for Your VPS IP Address
Please note that you cannot configure rDNS (Reverse DNS) or PTR records for your VPS IP address from your end.
To set an rDNS record for your VPS IP address, you must submit a support ticket through the client area. While submitting the ticket, please ensure you provide the following details:
-
Hostname (FQDN)
-
IP address
Example of an Ideal rDNS Record:
An ideal rDNS (PTR) record should be configured in the following format:
mail.yourdomain.com → 127.0.0.1
Note:
Replace 127.0.0.1 with your actual VPS IP address, and replace mail.yourdomain.com with the hostname you wish to set as the PTR (rDNS) record.
Propagation Time
Once the rDNS record is configured for your VPS IP address, it may take 24 to 48 hours to propagate globally.
