In Windows Hosting, sometimes you may get this error message - 500 Internal Server Error. This issue can occur for scripts such as asp, PHP, and cgi or Server Application "/" Error for ASP.Net development. In this case, if you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer,
- Click on Tools.
- Click on Internet Options.
- Go to Advance Tab.
- Disable the option Show Friendly HTTP Error Messages.
- Refresh your browser after this; you should get the actual error message in your coding.
If you are not using Internet Explorer, you need to enable the option Send error message to browsers from IIS. Since your website is hosted under a shared server, you can submit a ticket for the same.
