Logs are records of events that occur on a computer system. These events could be anything from a web browser request to a program opening a file.
When you use a hosting service like ours, our servers automatically create log files whenever something happens. You don’t necessarily need to keep the log files, but you might have to delete the logs manually if you do. To do that, follow the simple steps listed below.
Log files are located in the %plesk_dir%admin\logs directory (where %plesk_dir% is the folder path where Plesk is installed).
Delete log files from the Plesk panel.
1. Log in to the Plesk control panel.

2. In the Websites & Domains tab, click on Logs.
3. Now, you will see the Manage log file button on the logs page. Click on the Manage Log Files button.

Log files can grow too rapidly if you deal with large volumes of data. This can be accomplished by enabling automatic log file cleanup and recycling.
1. Log in to the Plesk control panel.
2. In the Websites & Domains tab, click on Logs.
3. At the Log Rotation option, click Switch On.
4. Set the recycling period for log files and the number of instances of each log file to store on the server.
In addition, specify whether they must be compressed and emailed after processing.
5. Once you fill in all the details, click the OK button.
Notes
- If Log Rotation is disabled, each log file will be kept forever.
- If the maximum number of log files is set to 0, then all existing log files will be deleted after log rotation.
- ModSecurity logfiles are rotated by size only.
