How to fix error 0x800CCC0E in Outlook 2016?

Error message 0x800CCC0E is a common error while configuring an email account in Outlook and sending emails. You may receive this error because Outlook is not authenticating your account with the email server while sending the emails., It is an issue with the outgoing email server rejects the email.

  1. Open your Outlook. Go to the File >> Account Settings >> Server Settings.

  2. At your email settings, expand the outgoing email option. 

  3. Here, you will see an option called My Outgoing (SMTP) server requires authentication and click on the Next button. 

  4. Outlook will give you a message, Account successfully updated. Finally, click on the Done button.
