Note: The Following instructions do not apply to VPS customers who are accessing their Remote Desktop without a port number (or using the default port number).
Due to security reasons, we have moved Remote Desktop Services from the default port 3389 to non non-standard port. Because port 3389 is widely known and can be the target of Remote Desktop Brute force attacks easily. You can obtain non non-standard Remote Desktop port in the Login Details Email under the "RDP Details" section as follows:
IP address: Port
IP address: The IP address you have received in the Login Details.
Port: Port number you have received in the Login Details.
While connecting to Remote Desktop, if you enter just the IP address/Computer name (without port) in any Remote Desktop client software, it won't work. You need to enter “Computer name/IP address: port” in the Remote Desktop Connection Window.
