What is a Parked Domain? Print

  • 317

Pointing one domain to another domain is called Domain Parking. With this, the Parked Domain and Main Domain display the same website. So, even though a Parked Domain cannot have separate web statistics, it can have email boxes.

For example, yourdomain.com -> mydomain.com, i.e., yourdomain.com and mydomain.com, will open the same website.

The primary domain, http://mydomain.com, will need web hosting and domain registration. Whereas the parked domain, yourdomain.comwill only need domain registration.

In addition, nameservers (DNS) for both domains must be the same; this is very important; otherwise, the parked domain will not work.

To obtain the nameservers for your domain, you can contact support@accuwebhosting.com.
