Choosing the right RAID level depends on your specific needs. For extreme performance, RAID 10. For general use, RAID 5. Raid 5 is cheaper. It is acceptable for use on SSDs. A Raid 10 would give you the best performance, the minor wear and tear on the drives, as well as the highest level of reliability.
