Subscription backup finished with the warning "The transaction log for database 'X' is full" on Plesk server

You may receive the above error while taking the backup of your database using SQL Server Management Studio on a Windows server with Plesk.

The cause of this issue is the transaction logs are reached to the configured size or disk-space does not have sufficient available space.

To resolve this issue, please refer to the following steps. 

  1. Connect the VPS via RDP.

  2. Connect database with SQL Server Management Studio

  3. Go to Databases >> Right-click on your database >> Tasks >> Back Up



  4. At the General page, select Backup type: Transaction Log

  5. At the Media Options page, select Truncate the transaction log and press OK button.
