How to Optimize MySQL Database Using phpMyAdmin?

Database always grows in size due to high traffic or a large amount of content. This will lead to a slow website issue. Database optimization is a good option to improve your site performance.

Following are the steps to optimize MySQL Database using phpMyAdmin.

  1. Login to cPanel.

  2. Click on phpMyAdmin.



  3. Once phpMyAdmin opens, click on the Databases button.



  1. Select the required Database which needs to be optimized.



  2. You are at the structure table. Select the table which you need to optimize or select the check all button if you want to optimize all the tables. From DropDown, select the Optimize Table option. It will directly optimize the tables.



  3. Once it is optimized, you will get the below messages in phpMyAdmin.
