How to rename MySQL Database from cPanel?

cPanel offers MySQL Database rename option. Renaming MySQL Database requires while migrating hosting account to another.

Note : Please take MySQL Database Backup before performing these steps.

Following are the steps to rename MySQL Database.

  1. Login to cPanel Account.

  2. Click on MySQL Databases inside Databases.



  3. Go to Current Database section. Find the Database which you want to rename from the search button.

  4. Click on Rename Button from the Actions column. It will open the Rename Database Dialog Box.



  5. Enter your new Database Name. Hit Proceed Button.

Your Database name has been changed successfully.
